And I wonder what people would say if they compared the two. The "Jedi apprentice" series is EU/Legends, "Master and apprentice" is not. It's great that we get to see his teenage years and see him grow up and get to know more about Obi-Wan's developing relationship with his Master, Qui-Gon. And in "Master and apprentice", which takes place 8 years before the events of "The Phantom Menace", Obi-Wan is 17. In the "Jedi apprentice" series, which takes place 12 years before the events of "The Phantom Menace" (Obi-Wan is 25 in "The Phantom Menace"), Obi-Wan is like 13-14. I've heard that those are some of the most popular and well-loved Star Wars novels out there.

I've heard so many positive things about them in book review/book discussion videos on Youtube. Along with "Master and apprentice" by Claudia Gray. I haven't read Jude Watson's Star wars book yet, but the "Jedi apprentice" series definitely is on my reading list. It must be because it came out after this list was made.īy the way, if you know of any Thrawn novel (paper novels only, no ebooks) that isn't on this list or if you know of a more updated/complete list, please let me know and give me the link, so I can complete my Thrawn book collection. Except for "Choices of one", but I want to ask around on here if it can be read as a standalone first, before I buy a copy, because I don't think I will read "Allegiance". I bought all 13 Thrawn novels after that. "Outbound flight" was my first Star wars novel and I personally think it's a great MASTERPIECE (I'm far from the only one), I like it better than the prequel trilogy (by Terry Brooks, R.A Salvatore, and Matthew Stover). Timothy Zahn was the reason I got into Star Wars books as an adult just a few weeks ago and I think his work is absolutely brilliant (I'm definitely an EU/Legends supporter and I support the EU movement).

Question about Thrawn, or Who's your favorite character?
